Say It Nicely

The other day my daughter was petitioning my husband for something in a whiny tone of voice. I chided her and went into a paragraph about her whiny voice. I ended the whole thing with the admonishment. "You have to say it nicely to Daddy".

She sighed and tilted her head and said in the sweetest possible voice, "It nicely, Daddy".

We laughed and gave her what she was asking for anyway.
