Surprise day off and kitty update

No little guy today, since the price of plywood doubled overnight and his daddy was let go early for lack of work. So, who knows how many days I'll have him in the coming weeks since the prices of all wood products are so inflated in our area. So to fill the time I might call my brother for lunch, or coffee and give him the baby clothes I've been saving for his little girl. Or, we might go outside and pull weeds for a while since the weather is cooler.

My DH had a less-then-stellar interaction with a neighbor yesterday. He told them the device they gave us to use to keep their kitties off our property isn't working. We've seen their cats a few times, most notably two days ago right outside my back door. They told him we have to move the device around every 72 hours. DH reiterated that it isn't our responsibility to keep their cats out of our yard, it is their job, since they own the cats. Let's just say that the conversation became heated, the device was returned to them, and I am glad my husband is not one to call names. I cannot say the same for the other party. Sadly the outcome was a threat of retaliation...aimed at us. Which is perplexing for me, since we've never actually done anything to these people's cats, we've only asked they keep their cats from pooping on our property. Their cat's presence isn't the issue, the cat poop is. So, being home all day, 6 months pregnant and with a very little girl isn't exactly lovely with the threat of retaliation looming overhead.

But we go on, because I decided a long time ago to stop being afraid of man. I'd rather fear God.
