Good Man

I married a very good man. For anyone reading this post with a crummy husband, stop here or else you might get a tad green when you read on...

My dear husband did the sexiest thing ever this weekend: He dug out every inch of the cat poop area on the south side of our house. Why is this sexy? Mainly because it was the grossest job ever and in addition he worked at it for about 4 hours. He even used the pick axe to dig out all the dirt so we could go back and add gravel to make a pathway. Seriously, who wants to clean up some other person's animal poop for 4 hours? In the heat? On your precious day off? He is SO awesome, I tell you.

In the afternoon he let me work out in the garden as I turned up the rose garden plot and prepare it for the rose transplants. This is yet another area that fell victim to cat poop where we lost all our vegetables last year to possible taxoplasmosis. It was very hard to let it go, since I had grown almost everything from seed. Now it will be our rose garden.

On Mother's Day I received a wonderful gift:

I love this Garden Hopper from Amazon.com. It will make it easier to work in the garden this summer since I can sit down and weed, and not bend over for hours on end. What a good gift!

He is a good man I tell you, a very good man.

They are hard to come by, but we've found them. Let the others get green if they want...these guys are ours!
