Barbara, I deserved that!

Yesterday I commented on Mommylife about the Doug Phillips controversy. My comment was written VERY poorly and I apologize for any offense I created. Barbara then admonished me via her comment section and I thanked her in response because I deserved it!. So, for anyone who comes by as a link from that comment, please accept my apology if I offended you in any way.

I took a keen interest in the whole story in January. I read every available document and I made up my mind what to do as a result. But what I failed to do was pray for those involved. I cannot influence what happened up to this point but I CAN influence what happens through prayer from this point forward. I know MANY people have a stake in this issue, for Christian leadership from Vision Forum reaches all over this country. That also includes the direct families involved, and there are quite a few from what I gather. This is a a difficult issue at present...and this is my prayer:

"Lord, please use your gardener's hand to pull out the weeds of sin from the hearts of all those involved in this event. You know that we are all subject to Your work in our hearts and minds, we are all accountable to You. Many people feel hurt from this event so far and all are in need of Your healing presence. Lord, strengthen those that should be, and make soft the hearts those that require it. Lord, if we don't bend our knees to You in submission we are subject to much pain and discipline by You later on. Please make Your truth known for Your glory, for we know that truth sets us free and can keep others from the same mistakes. Bring to light what needs to be shown to the public, and make known in each person's heart what should be repented for publicly and privately. You know every inch of man's heart Lord, perform surgery and make whole those that require it.

Give wisdom to those of us who are not directly involved with the key people about what to do in response to this issue. Direct us in our prayers, direct our responses (especially my own) possibly our purchases in light of Your direction. Thank you Lord that no problem is too big for You to solve! No amount of pain is bigger than Your ability to soothe. Be swift Lord and deal with us all to make the best of this event. Restore hearts, minds, and relationships so that all are
freed up to do Your work-whatever that may be. Amen. "

you are a dear! no damage was done - it was all good for discussion. And you reminded us of the most important thing of all - that we should be praying. I stand convicted of that!
