Maybe He Has a Point

The local newspaper had this article posted today. I am amazed at the reaction of the neighbors...who apparently think their cats should be able to roam and go p*tty wherever they feel like.

Maybe the guy was just fed up with digging up and cleaning up the cat p**p. Maybe the guy has a very valid point to protect his property if the neighbors aren't keeping their pets on their own property.

Maybe...just maybe he is right. But the report skewers the poor guy. Yet the county animal control people come to his defense.

Funny, I just got a trap today. Do you think I am responsible to tell my neighbors I set one out on my property? I think if I do then it will make the reason for the trap obsolete. The point of the trap is to catch the animals that are destroying my property and ensure they don't come back to repeat their offense.

What do you think?

Most people just think cats are soft, furry, and lovable and that EVERYONE should love them regardless of the messes they leave in yards that are not their own. After reading your stories, I know you, and others faced with similar offenses, have a point! What more can you do than try to reason with your neighbors, and then act on your rights within the law. It's certainly humane and defensible what you, and the man in the article, are doing! People need to be responsible pet owners! No one wants to be responsible for their pets these days...some people don't even want to be responsible for their children...but that's another story!
