Thanksgiving Recovery
My Dh has quite the family as you might know. Every Thanksgiving all his aunts and uncles and their kids come from up north and converge at my in-laws home for the weekend. We usually have a very loud and fun time with everyone as we catch up, play with the kids and play games on game night. This year we played Cranium and I was so pleased to wind up with Dh's aunt from the middle east who was a librarian and my Dh's brother in law who is working on his doctorate. Needless to say I covered the pop culture and impersonations and our team was stacked to win. Though we didn't start out too bright since our first category was drawing and we had to guess a phrase. Since Dr. Brother in Law is an artist he got to draw. We lost the round since we couldn't guess "Creative Cat" as the answer. After the round we all thought that was a stupid phrase and we couldn't guess what generation ever said that. At our next turn my brother in law figured out he was looking at the wrong end of the card. "Creative Cat" was the category, not the clue to guess. Apparently when the other brother in law handed him the card and said "The clue is right under my thumb." he had turned the card upside down. In the heat of the moment, no one looked too closely at the card. When we figured that out we laughed until we cried at our inability to play the game correctly. All night the phrase was "You're a creative cat". Which seemed so funny after a margarita...ok, they had those and I had a coke with lime since I'm trying for a baby, no need to tempt fate. At any rate it was pretty fun and we all had a good time and we are exhausted now as we pick up the pieces from the holiday
I had a lot more to this post but my pathetic laptop ruined it since it gets brain damage at the drop of a hat and deletes my best posts. I'll try to remember what I wrote and put it in a later post.
