Could this get worse? Probably
Ok, not to gross anyone out here but we found more mouse poop. It is at the base of both chimneys where the roof intersects at the second floor. A lot of mouse poop. That leads me to think we have a much bigger problem then I thought.
YUCK!
Ok, now that I have that out of my system...on to other topics.
Church is starting back up and we are beginning a Beth Moore Study this fall on believing God. My sister in law did the study last year and she said it changed her life. I started it this last week to get an idea about it since I am on the planning committee and I have to say I don't have the same expectations. I want it to change me for good, but I think I am in the "I don't really think it will change me because I am a bit cynical for this kind of thing" type of gal. perhaps that's best since the title is BELIEVING GOD. Maybe I am more ready for this then I thought.
My girl is almost one year. She has about 8 weeks before her birthday and she is the sweetest thing ever. The last few nights she woke up at 3am with teething pain. Poor little thing is trying so hard to get that tooth pushed out! So last night I brought her into the bedroom so Alan could watch her while I used the restroom. I came back to the bed and tried to get her to get back to sleep next to me. My plan was to get her sleepy and then take her back to her crib in her room. Well, that child was awake I tell you. She was talking to us and crawling around the bed and trying to play with her Daddy who was trying valiantly to sleep. She was just as awake as she could be. Finally Alan muttered, "Did you try a bottle yet?" So I got up and made one at 4am and I gave it to her. She then got sleepy enough to put down but by then I was really sleepy too so I gave in and just rolled her between us and went back to sleep for that last 2 hour nap of the night.
Generally I am not supportive of co-sleeping but sometimes you just have to go with the flow. But today at naptime it was business as usual. She has to stop this 3 am thing she has going on. It's just like her little brain just needs to run a little bit and then she can go back to sleep. I heard from another mom that this is common for kids that are trying to walk. Their brains are just too busy to sleep the whole night long!
