Back from Sisters

So we had a great time with my Dad and Melissa up in Sisters. It is beautiful and peaceful up there in the woods and the food cannot be beat. I saw Melissa make refried beans and they were fabulous. I forgot to take some home! Phooey! We also had items from the Sisters Bakery she owns and that is ALWAYS a treat. Sarah was a gem the whole time and she took the changes like a champ. Then we went to Eugene to pick up my DH from the airport and I missed out on my own birthday party at a friend's house in my confusion and exhaustion! I am SO disappointed with myself!

Sarah just about exploded with excitement when she saw her father get off the escalator at the airport. She just laughed and squealed and cooed with Alan. It was a joy to see her so excited like I was. It was like she and I were just hanging on until we go to him. It took me until this morning to relax after the last five days without him.

Well, the girl is up and it's time for some lunch I am sure.
