No, Really, I still blog!
Life has been nutso these past few weeks. We had birthday parties, ear infections, overnight guests, toys to unwrap, people to shop for and groceries to buy. It has been a bear. I also started with the little boy I watch full time from now on until the end of the school year. Thankfully I don't have him over Christmas break, Spring break or general holidays. It works out very well for both of our families. Even my girl is taking a liking to the new schedule we have as a trio in the mornings.
We also tackled sleep training these past few night. I tell you, if anything is going to tank a marriage it will be either a remodel or sleep training your children. Thankfully we made it through that and with help from Jesus my girl has learned to put herself to sleep and stay that way through the night. What a major change and joy!
My DH has the big 35 this week and he's only getting better with age. We planning a simple deal with take out and the two, I mean three of us. I think I scared him away from a big party with our daughter's birthday bash last week. He was a trooper for that, but we were awfully tired afterward. We also hosted my brother's 35 party about two hours before my daughter's party since the family was down. It makes me realize I just don't know him at all. I think he really wanted to split the minute other folks showed up. But at least I got the acknowledge his birthday with a meager attempt at family time.
What else? Oh, I know! My goal this year is to buy every single Christmas present at Amazon.com before Thanksgiving. I will go through MommyLife so she can get the credit for the sales. I sure like Barbara Curtis and I think she deserves some cash for her help in my life. If you don't read MommyLife, then start now. She is an absolute goldmine.
I'll post pics very soon!
