She can crawl!
As we were at the church softball game Monday night my daughter crawled for the very first time. I was so excited that I was yelling for everyone to look. I was just sure that the umpire was going to tell me I was distracting the batter.
Now, two days later I caught her up on the second step on the stairs...and I grabbed her just as she rolled down. She pulled that off in the amount of time it takes to load the washer from the pre-sorted pile next to it. I mean...it was only about 60 seconds. I had the washer emptied already. She is SO FAST! I wasn't too worried about her hurting herself as the stairs are heavily padded with thick carpet and there is another rug at the base of the stairs. She would have only been startled. Not to say that we allow her to climb stairs unsupervised! We also have the baby gates installed.
Here are some pictures I took recently to show that sometimes I get it right. Dinner gets to the table, my daughter gets a bath and we go through a whole day without trauma.
